The Burberry Chelsea Heritage Trench Coat I’m wearing is my very first from Burberry. I’ve always wanted my first trench coat to be a Burberry Heritage Trench Coat. That is because Burberry make such beautiful trench coats and the designs can last a long time too.

My Burberry Trench Coat has travelled the world with me (Sweden, France, Italy, Hong Kong) . The Chelsea trench coat is great for spring time especially for layering and it shield my OOTD from the spring rain. This Burberry Chelsea Heritage Trench Coat recently went to Japan with me. When we were in Kyoto, it rained for 2 days. There’s no better way to cover myself from the rain than this trench coat.

History of Burberry Heritage Trench Coat

Here’s a little history about Burberry Heritage Trench Coat. It was first born to protect the military during the First World War, where a reported 500,000 coats were worn by officers. The epaulettes or the shoulder piece displayed an officer’s rank, while the belt’s metal D-rings were used to attach equipments. Every detail of the iconic design serving a purpose, contributing to its unmistakable design and enduring legacy. All Burberry Heritage Trench Coats are made in Castleford, England.

Inspired by the archive, the collection of trench coats has been updated with modern details and new colours. Now, there are three fits, two lengths and five colours. The modern silhouettes are The Chelsea – slimmest cut for a defined fit; The Kensington – a classic fit for a tailored silhouette and The Westminster – the relaxed-fit trench created for easy layering. These Burberry Heritage trench reimagined were styled by 5 individual stylists. Their creative vision is captured in a portfolio of images by photographer Thurstan Redding.

These Burberry Heritage Trench are already available in selected store and on Burberry.com. In Malaysia, it’ll only be available at the stores starting August 2018. However, you can always drop by the store and ask the sales assistance for help to order it online for you. I definitely have my eyes on The Westminster Heritage Trench Coat in Dark Military Khaki.
