Previously, I’ve introduced the difference between Elsa Bright Treatment and Co2 Laser Treatment on my blog. All the while, I’ve been visiting Me Aesthetic Clinic for Elsa Bright Treatment. I’ve raved about how well this treatment worked on my skin.
I can’t help but to notice changes just after 2 treatments.
Recently, I was brave enough to have a go at Fractional Co2 Laser Treatment. Now I can tell you that I have tried and tested the laser treatment, I’ve nothing but good stuff to share. I can’t help but to notice changes just after 2 treatments.
What Is A Fractional Co2 Laser Treatment?
Co2 Laser Treatment is a type of laser treatment that helps your skin to regenerate those tissues deep within the dermis. Those renewed skin cells will resurface and improve the skin appearance.
Benefits of Fractional Co2 Laser Treatment
The fractional Co2 Laser Treatment are best for:
- Acne scars
- Aging skin issues (wrinkles, rough textures, hyper-pigmentation)
- Benign superficial skin growths (e.g. scars from cut wounds)
- enlarged pores
How Is The Procedure?
First, I had my face cleanse especially on areas to be treated. Then, numb cream was applied on my face and I’ve to wait for 3o minutes. This is to reduce the discomfort of the laser treatment. After 30 minutes, the numb cream was removed and a shield was place over my eyes for protection before the treatment starts.
The laser treatment takes about 5-10 minutes. I felt a mild burn and at certain areas, it felt like there was pins and needles poking my skin. Although, with the numb cream, this pin and needles sensation was bearable. As my acne scars weren’t too severe, the intensity level was adjusted to a lower degree.
After the Fractional Co2 Laser Treatment, the aestheticians will apply soothing gel and perform the cryolipolysis treatment. This 20 minutes treatment helps to cool down the skin after the laser treatment.
Will There Be Downtime?
Yes, there will be downtime. For the first 24 hours, my skin felt like it had a sunburn. It takes about 6-7 days for my skin to totally be cleared from scabs. So, it all comes down to some time management and of course, there’s nothing makeup cannot do.
On the first two days, it looked like my face had a bad burn. After that, it was like a layer of tough skin settled on the surface of my skin. Then the scab would start to peel. DO NOT peel it yourself. Allow it to naturally dry and shed by itself. It will clear itself when you wash your face morning and night.
I would suggest that if you’re working at the office, and you’re afraid to be seen with the scab, do the laser treatment on Friday. Then have it rest on Saturday and Sunday. By Monday, just use a good foundation to cover up the scab. After another 3 days, your skin will start to look like brand new.

What Skincare To Use After Co2 Laser Treatment?
After the treatment, my face felt like it was burned. My face felt hot especially the first day. From second day onwards, the heat slowly subsided. I also started using the products from Me Aesthetic Clinic. Ranging from cleanser, eye cream, serum, moisturizer and sunblock. They’re all very mild so it helps to sooth the skin from the burn and improve skin growth.
Although, I highly recommend 2 products from La Mer which I applied on the first night and the heat on my face was totally under control. Yes, they are THAT fabulous! They’re La Mer’s The Concentrate Serum and Moisturizing Cream. I swore by them.
Sunblock is a MUST. Actually you should be wearing sunblock everyday before you go out of your house. It would prevent your skin from sun damages.
Does Applying Mask Help?
Totally! I applied mask once a day for 5 days straight and my skin felt so much better. After cleansing my face and before my night routine, I took a sheet mask from the refrigerator and place it on my face for 15 minutes. After that I wipe off the residues with water soaked facial cotton. Then proceed with my night skincare routine which DOES NOT contain alcohol. It would burn if you use anything alcohol. At least not for a week.
How Many Times Should You Do Co2 Laser Treatment Before Seeing Results?
This totally depends on individual skin. My acne scars and pores aren’t severe. Just after 2 treatments, I could see the surface of skin smoothen. Just like I’ve always wanted it to be. Dr. David advised me to only do the treatment once a month. It takes at least 28 days for the skin to totally grow so it would be harmful to the skin if you do it too often in a month.
My Final Advise
If you have a photo shoot coming up, do give your skin at least 10-14 days to totally heal. If your skin do have severe scars and acne issues, the treatment will be more intense, so at least give yourself 3 weeks to go through the healing process. Although I mentioned that a good foundation is able to cover-up the scab, do bear in mind that it will not be able to cover-up a 100 percent.
One thing I’m sure of, I do see the result after the dead skin sheds off. My skin looked so smooth and it does glow. Those pores are starting to tighten as well. All these are achievable with the help of sufficient rest at night, diligent daily skincare routines and keeping the body hydrated by drinking water. I try to keep in mind that I need to help myself too in order to see a maximum result with the help of Fractional Co2 Laser Treatment itself.
Last but not least, I highly recommend this to anyone that needed help to smoothen previous acne scars and who had always dream of seeing smooth skin. Do drop by Me Aesthetic Clinic to get a consultation on Fractional Co2 Laser Treatment.
