Ever since my hair color had changed to Pink, I find that I must wear some makeup. Else I’ll look really pale without any makeup. I got to at least have lipstick one. Time and time again, I find myself going back to these 4 lipstick colors – Purple, Red, Pink and Coral.
Finding the right shade for my skin tone is one thing but the right lipstick is another. These lipsticks must be long lasting yet not drying to your lips. Here are 4 must-try lipstick colors today which I’ve tried and would like to share it with you.
1. Dior Lipglow
Pink is light but it goes real well with my skin tone. There are days when I don’t want much makeup and I’ll reach out for a Dior Lipglow. It’s not only easy to use but it gave my lips a healthy glow. Like what Peter Philips said “It is so intuitively simple to apply, you don’t even need a mirror”. I’m using Holo Pink in the picture.
2. Shu Uemura Laque Supreme
I had always loved Shu Uemura Laque Supreme for the staying power yet it felt like a layer of water on the lips. Since their older packaging which I featured it here in this blog post, I had been a true fan. In the picture above, I actually mixed both WN 05 and PK 05. Love how it turned out to be glossy and making such a statement.
3. Tom Ford Lip Color
Actually I had the Tom Ford Lip Color for the longest time. I bought it from Hong Kong maybe 3 years back but I haven’t had a chance to use it. Finally I decided to use it to match my dress and I find the dark coral appealing. If you’re into medium tone, this color would be the best. I love how moist the texture can be. The only downside for this lipstick is it doesn’t have a staying on power. You might need to re-apply it after a meal.
4. Bobbi Brown Art Stick Liquid Lip
If anything at all, this one win on staying power. I find The Bobbi Brown Art Stick Liquid Lip looks great and stays on forever! The texture is on the matte side but nothing a clear gloss can’t do if you want it a little glossier. One application can last me the entire meal and more.
Last but not least, I do encourage you to experiment these colors for yourself. What suits me best might not for you. Remember to try out that layering like what I did with Shu Uemura Laque Supreme. It’s pretty cool.
