Have you heard of the new cosmetic brand in Sephora? It is called IT Cosmetics. At first, I thought this must be another new brand like every other ones in Sephora. Then, I heard all the buzz about them over the blogosphere. After reading about it and trying them, I believe I can be beautiful with IT Cosmetics. I’m thrilled to discover this new beauty product and I believe they deserve your attention too.
Jamie Kern Lima started IT Cosmetics due to her personal struggle in finding the right products that can help her with rosacea (patches of redness) and sparse brows. She partnered with plastic surgeons and dermatologists to create a line of skin-loving, clinically proven, problem solving products. Like Jamie, I’ve my set of skin concerns as well. I’ve always had combination skin with oily T-Zone and occasional acne outbursts that left me with marks. Due to the oily T-Zone, my makeup, especially my eyeshadows, would start to crease after 5-6 hours. Also, my skin will start to glow (with oiliness) after 4-5 hours and with our warm weather, it doesn’t help much.
Now that I’ve found IT Cosmetics, I tried a few of their products and they’re great! Seeing is believing right? I’ve made a short tutorial of “How To Create A Day Makeup With IT Cosmetics”. BRUSHES
- Airbrush Powder & Bronzer #1 – I actually love this brush a lot! It is extremely soft and I used it to brush off Bye Bye Pores Powder, blend bronzer and blush.
- Wand Ball Powder #8 – I used this to apply the bronzer for contouring and also sweep some luminizer on my cheekbone and brow arches.
- Complexion Perfection #7 – On the All-Over side, I used it to blend the CC+ Cream all over my face and neck. As for the Conceal side, I used it to apply Bye Bye Under Eye on my dark circles and conceal my acne scars.
- No-Tug Dual Eyeshadow #5 – On the All Over side, I used it to blend light color eyeshadows all over the lid. On the Smudge side, I dabbed darker colors at the corner of my eyes and again used the All Over side to blend the colors.
NATURALLY PRETTY EYESHADOW PALETTE
They’re easy to use and gentle on the eyelids. Some colors are a little too light for me, but I find the darker ones smudge really well. I used Transforming Hello Light on the arch of my brows, Passion on the inner corner of my eyes, Intrigue and Allure at the outer corner of my eyes and Dream to blend them all together.
TIGHTLINE FULL LASH LENGTH BLACK MASCARA PRIMER
Athough it is claimed as a 3-in-1 product (primer + mascara + liner), I find them great as a primer and as a lower lashes mascara. My lower lashes are not thick and pretty sparse, blame it on the Chinese genes in me. The fine brush on this mascara primer helps to give some color on my lower lashes without smudge.
VITALITY BRIGHTENING ANTI-AGING FACE DISK
If you can only buy 2 items from IT Cosmetics, this is the 2nd product you must have besides the CC+ Cream. This Vitality Brightening Anti-Aging Face Disk give you an instant glow on your face and cheek. It consist of luminizer (Live), blush (Love) and bronzer (Laugh).
BLURRED LINES LIPSTICK
I highly recommend this lipstick. It’s ultra hydrating (true as claimed) and doesn’t dry out my lips. However, it didn’t stayed all day. I had to reapply it after meal, but that doesn’t bother me at all. This color – Je Ne Sais Quoi, definitely compliment the day makeup.
