Growing up, I can only wish I have porcelain skin like those Japanese and Korean actresses. During adolescence years, I had my fair share of breakouts that left me with scars. Some had healed by now, but thanks to my fidgety fingers, some scars are pretty deep and hence, the obvious marks. I know that some of you might say “oh, you have great looking skin already,” but makeup and Photoshop do wonders.
Trust me, I have days when I wish I could do the #wokeuplikethis with #nofilter on Instagram, but it take guts to show you my bare skin. I’ve heard so much about how laser treatments can enhance the skin and helped with scarring. So, I decided to do some research before investing my time and money. During the research, these are the 7 questions I asked myself before committing to a laser treatment.
My scars, dilated pores, pigmentation and uneven texture of my skin definitely has been my concern for the longest time. Staying in the tropical country with combination skin, I get really oily T-Zone. I just wish it will be less oily when the pores are minimized.
I’ve narrowed it down to 3 aestheticians and I found ME Aesthetic Clinic the best by far. They’re well equipped with modern technology and the practitioners are all well-trained. I also like their philosophy – Our doctor’s goal is to educate our clients so they can select those procedures which meet their aesthetic goals while also ensuring a comfortable experience during treatments with safety and hygiene as the utmost priority.
Dr. David from ME Aesthetic Clinic suggested Elsa Bright Laser Treatment. It helps with minimising pores, lighten and eventually remove scars and pigmentation and even out skin texture. It basically helps to fasten the process of my skin cell to regenerate and renew itself.

4. How long is the treatment?
The whole ordeal takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour. It’s definitely a great “lunch time skin fix”.
At least 6 treatments in order to achieve my goals in having smooth and flawless skin. At first, I was trying to cut down the cost by asking for lesser times, but Dr David doesn’t advise that at all. He said, it is better to achieve a permanent result rather than doing this year after year. In the long run, it would cost a lot more money.

Yes. After Elsa Bright Laser Treatment, a nurse will perform the post-laser treatment. A layer of Soothing Mask will be applied and a tool with flat surface will be used to glide all over the face and neck area. This really cold treatment is much needed to calm down the skin after the laser treatment. Once the post-laser treatment is done, applying sunblock with SPF30 is a must! Makeup can be applied after the post-laser treatment.
I applied light makeup after the treatment and I’m good to go! The skin didn’t even look like there’s any laser treatment done. |
