Last year, I had a resolution that is to only purchase 30 precious possession. I managed to kept that resolutions and am so proud of myself (pat my own shoulders 1000 times).
Along the way, I realized that there are 6 items that was on a repeat a lot. Sometimes it’s the quality that counts rather than quantity. Having said that, a good quality item doesn’t have to be expensive. I found some affordable items that lasted a long time. You just need to handle it with care. These are some of the 6 items which I would highly recommend to invest in:
1. LEATHER BRACELET
Let’s start with this Hermes Collier De Chien leather bracelet. It’s one of the very first leather bracelet from Hermes and worn the most I believe. It can be worn it so many different occasions, be it casual or semi-formal. Definitely add a touch of cool-ness into your outfit.

2. BLAZER
There are few outerwear which I think are worth investing in such as denim jackets, trench coat and blazers. Since I’m from a hot and humid weather country all year long, I like this black blazer from Blaque Label which I’ve been recycling quite a few times. It’s great for meetings, casual Fridays and movie dates.

I have been eyeing on a Fendi Peekaboo bag for the longest time. I think it was 5 years ago when I first went to Paris but at that time, the colors displayed didn’t make my heart skip a beat. Till last year when I was in Singapore, I saw this grey/blue bag on display, and I fell head over heels on the bag. Then I told myself, good things come to those who wait. To invest in a pricey leather bag, you have to make sure your heart skip a beat when you see that particular piece. Then it’s a calling for you to get it. Else, just wait for the right one to come along.

4. SUNGLASSES
I first noticed Karen Walker sunglasses on Blair (Atlantic-Pacific) and I thought these sunglasses are really cool. She definitely carried it well. These sunglasses from Karen Walker are great for days when I’m in a rush and needed to be out on a sunny day but had no time to do my makeup besides applying a dark color lipstick. This Karen Walker Super Duper Strength sunglasses are great to match with street styles and work wear.

5. POINTED PUMPS
If you’ve been following my Instagram (@stilettoesdiva), you must have noticed that this pair of Dior pumps are over-used! Pointed pumps are great with any sort of outfits. Be it skirts, pants or dresses. It elongate your legs and give the perception of longer legs. I’m already thinking of getting another pair of pointy pumps most probably in white or black or….I’m undecided!

6. SCARF
I didn’t think a scarf can be so useful till I went London in May last year. Weather wasn’t cold but when the wind blow, it can get chilly. I didn’t bring my winter cashmere scarf so I went to Burberry and invested in a silk scarf. I thought that was the best and useful purchase. I used it so many times when I travel and to get comfortable on the plane too.
