Calendula Herbal Extract Toner |
Calendula being one of the key ingredients is actually oil extracted from the marigold flower and is known of its soothing properties. One thing that I found a little weird at first was it’s petals infused in an amber liquid bottle. As I opened to smell its ingredients, it was just like chrysanthemum tea, calming yet natural. After I had my face washed, I poured a considerate amount of this toner on a facial cotton and gently wipe it over my face and neck area. The alcohol-free formula leaves my face clean without that tight and dry feeling. I use this toner twice a day, in the morning and evening. This toner is the best I’ve ever used! It gets the dirt off and leaves my skin feeling soft. It also does not give me any break-out. I would recommend this to those with oily or sensitive skin.
2. HYDRO-PLUMPING RE-TEXTURIZING SERUM CONCENTRATE
Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing Serum Concentrate |
This is a hydrating serum containing 15% play based glycerin (used for its moisture magnet properties), combined with Shiso leaf Extract to provide up to 72 hours of hydration. I use this product after cleanser and before moisturizer. This unscented serum is gel-like. It does not leave an oily-feel on the skin. It is lightweight and absorbed really quickly. Two pumps of this serum is all it takes to cover my face and neck, then layer it with moisturizer on top. As I have combination skin and some serum will make my T-Zone greasy, this doesn’t yet it makes my skin soft and smooth.
3. IRIS EXTRACT ACTIVATING TREATMENT ESSENCE
Iris Extract Activating Treatment Essence |
This product looks like a toner but, in actual fact, it is not. It is to be used after toner and before any serum. I love the floral scent of Iris extract in this bottle. It didn’t last long after application but it sure smelt good while using it. You don’t need a cotton pad to use this. Just pour a few drops of liquid onto your palm, warm it up a little by rubbing both palms together, then dab it onto your face. It absorbed very quickly without feeling greasy because it is oil-free and also Paraben-free. I’m definitely adopting this into my skincare regime because it is easy to apply and it enhanced my serum and moisturizer as well. Definitely a must-have on my list!
4. SUPER MULTI-CORRECTIVE CREAM
Super Multi-Corrective Cream |
The texture of this moisturizer is creamy and I need only a small scoop to over my face and neck. Though it smelt a little like a vapor rub to me, it felt really good on my skin. In order to avoid looking too greasy, I only use this at night. Since it is great for dehydrated, dry and aged skin, I would sincerely say that it does miracle, especially after a long day. It also make a great travel companion especially to countries with 4 seasons.
5. ULTRA FACIAL CREAM
Ultra Facial Cream |
Some ingredients that I found interesting from this product are Antarcticine and Imperata Cylindrica. OK, in English terms, Antarcticin is an extract from microorganism source from sea glaciers which is notable for its ability to protect skin from cold temperature. While, Imperata Cylindrica is a plant found in the Australian dessert which possesses superb water retention properties in the dry condition.
When I first tried it, this white fluffy cream somehow stayed on the surface an unable to penetrate into my skin. So, what I did was to mix some Multi-Corrective Cream with this moisturizer, rub them together, and then dab it all over my face and neck. It worked much better this way. If only we have 4 seasons here in Malaysia, I would say this must be on of the best facial cream ever especially during winter. Since Malaysian weather is humid, I felt it is a little too rich for my combination type of skin. I would highly recommend this for someone with dry and dehydrated skin. Having said that, I would definitely pack this for fall and winter weather travels.
6. CREME DE CORPS
Creme de Corps |
This is definitely the most well-known body cream from Kiehl’s! It is thick and ideal for a luxurious pampering. I find it a little too rich for our weather in Malaysia. Again, this is when I wish Malaysia has fall or winter weathers. *wishful thinking* Since it is a little too rich for my entire body, I used it on my feet at night instead. I really dislike cracked heels so I slather Creme de Corps on my feet and wore socks over it for about 30 minutes. Then I removed the socks and head to bed. I tried it out for a week and I can totally see my heels fully recovered. I would recommend a lighter version called Creme De Corps Light-Weight Body Lotion for our weather.
I hope you know more about Kiehl’s products now. Since Kiehl’s believe in sampling their products before buying it, do head over to a store nearest to you and asked for some samples of what I’ve reviewed today. Try it for yourself and you’ll know the goodness of Kiehl’s.
