Crème De La Mer. |
When we were in Paris earlier this month, I bought some La Mer skincare to give it a try. I’ve heard a lot of good things about it so I’m curious. Here are my verdict of these 3 products.
1. Cleansing Gel – This gel cleanser is definitely very gentle on the skin. One pump is all it takes to cleanse the entire face and neck area. I’ve always been a foam cleanser user so when I switched to this, at first, it felt like my skin wasn’t clean thoroughly. It has this silky finish. After a few wash, I got used to it and it’s actually great to keep my skin hydrated without stripping off the natural moisture.
2. The Concentrate – La Mer claim that this is a savior of the skin. I would have to agree with them. The Concentrate is created to soothe your skin from irritation, redness caused by microdermabrasion and laser treatments. I love the silicon texture on my face. At first I applied it only on my dark spots and acne scars. I saw the changes! My dark spots and scars lighten after 2 weeks! Then, I got greedy and applied it on my entire face since I love the scent and texture. That’s when the red bumps and blemishes started appearing. Well, they were not kidding when they named this product The Concentrate. It’s strong! Now, I’m back to just applying on the spot. Just like what they advised =D
3. Moisturising Gel Cream – This ultralight edition from the original Crème De La Mer is refreshing and kept my skin hydrated. I chose the gel version because I’ve a combination to oily skin and it is ideal for tropical weather like Malaysia. So far, it didn’t clog my pores nor cause any breakout. I love how it has this matte finish and isn’t sticky.
In conclusion, La Mer products are definitely on the pricey side, but put the price aside, their products are great for someone who wants to slow down the process of aging on their skin. I’ve tried it for a month now and my skin did feel firmer and hydrated. If you have any questions you would like ask about the products, do not hesitate to leave your questions on the comment section below. I will try to share my opinion with you.
