Recently my hair has been pretty dry and I believe its due to overdose of hair colour and not using any home treatments. So, I went on a hunt for a shampoo that’s able to restore moisture and protect the color from fading. I read some reviews at Sephora.com and found Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging Replenishing Moisture Shampoo. While I’m at it, I bought both the shampoo and conditioner as well.
I find the texture really thick and with a small amount (about the size of a 50cents), I’m able to get a good lather and my hair all shampoo-ed out. The scent is pretty mild. My hair feels clean and not dry at all. It feels even better after applying the conditioner. I must say both the shampoo and conditioner does hydrate my hair. As for the price point, it is definitely on the higher side for Alterna’s items. I paid $32 for each bottle.
In comparison to my previous shampoo and conditioner from John Freida, Alterna is definitely more expensive but it’s definitely worth it. I wouldn’t say my hair became all moisturised after the first use but about halfway through, my hair did became softer and smoother. John Freida Brilliant Brunette Liquid Shine Illuminating Shampoo is a great affordable alternative. I love the scent and it gives a good lather even from a pretty small amount. The conditioner’s great as well. It contains sweet almond oil and that reminded me of a summer scent.
