I was given an opportunity to contribute a newsletter article to WhatIWear.com and of course I was thrilled when they wrote to me! They wanted me to write about Mint Green so this is what I wrote:
Initially, it was mint. Now there’s an addition to the mint family, which is Jade Mint. In my opinion, Jade Mint is slightly darker in comparison to mint. Mint has been around since Spring 2012 and with this addition, Green continues to be the favorite color for this season and it will be till Spring/Summer 2013.
After the fashion show in New York, London, Milan and now Paris, I can see Jade Mint sashaying on the runway in a few shows. Burberry came to mind instantly. You can see how beautiful the color is on the leather cape and dress from the pictures below. The different shade of green is just stunning! Mossoni is another designer which I’ve seen using Jade Mint in the prints. When these big brands lean towards this color, I’m sure it’ll become a popular color in no time.
Though I’ve never been too fond of Green, Jade Mint fits almost all skin color. To be in the fashion industry, you have to be brave enough to try all sorts of colors and patterns. This Jade Mint jumpsuit is my recent newfound love and I can say it definitely looks good on olive skin.
