This will be the last part of my Krabi trip with my best friends. You can see Part 1
here. We love Krabi because it’s not as commercialize comparing to Phuket and we definitely get tonnes of privacy as September is a low traffic season.
On the 2nd day, we took a longtail boat to Hong Island. It’s about 45 minutes boat ride from Ao Nang Beach, where we stayed. I thought the boat ride was bad because the boat ran out of gas about 15 minutes just before we arrived at the island. The sea was pretty choppy. You can imagine us 5 girls sitting in the rocky boat waiting for the boatman to pump up his gas and it took him almost FOREVER (I think it’s about 20 minutes). Finally we reached the island and we are glad we made it there. It’s a beautiful island and quiet as well. The water is so clear. I mean..nothing can compare to the Greek Islands but at least the water here is warm.
If you think the ride to Hong Island was bad, the ride back to Ao Nang Beach was WORSE!! The sea was rough and the rain was coming in. At 1st we were all still talking and laughing but after 20 minutes, I think we started leaving our lives to God. We just cling on to whatever we can cling on to and just try our best to stay calm. When we saw the beach approaching, we breathe out a sigh of relief. Gosh…enough of boat rides already for a day.
