Day #4 at Taiwan was a full-on touring the city. We decided to visit the few famous places in Taipei. Started our day at Longshan Temple, one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Taiwan. Even on a weekday, we still see many people praying in this temple.
I’m Abercrombie-out today! |
Next, we went to Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall. This building is huge and looked grand. This hall is located at the heart of Taipei. This was built in the 1980s to remember the former president of Taiwan. This hall occupied a total area of 250 thousand square meters.
Moving on to Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall. This is another beautiful place build to commemorate the nation founding father. This hall is also used for cultural education and academic research. There’s a statue of Sun Yat-Sen outside the hall.
Caught a glimpse of Taipei 101 from Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall |
Last but not least, Taipei 101 shall not be missed. Taipei 101 is the representative of Taiwan itself. With 101 floors, it features many business offices, huge shopping mall, cafes and clubs. What amazes me was the elevators that can travel ninety floors in only 37 seconds!! I guess thats the reason why it was called the world fastest elevator.
Along the way, we also had Doritos in remembrance of the man who invented Doritos that passed on that day.
As we were walking back to our hotel, we spotted this bank which is PINK in color and it has lots of piggy pictures sticked on the glass panel. I found it really really cute!! Can’t resist but to take a picture of it.
